ACC Wayfinding Scheme Installed at ECL

Our wayfinding scheme has recently been installed at the new Exhibition Centre Liverpool (ECL), on the waterfront to form part of ACC Liverpool, home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena.

The FRA team completed the wayfinding strategy, design and full project management of installation for the newly built world-class exhibition and events facility.

The high profile £66m new build includes an impressive public atrium, food and beverage outlets, meeting rooms and a business centre. The three exhibition halls are each 2,700sq m and separate by removable walls. The facility hosts trade and consumer exhibitions, concerts and sports events on a national and international scale.

Our scheme encompasses approximately 200 internal and external signs over three floors, including freestanding totems featuring maps, floor identifiers and directories, suspended banners, supergraphics and digital meeting room signs. Externally there are four LED illuminated totems featuring digital screens, illuminated built up letters. The signs are primarily powder coated aluminium with over laminated vinyl graphics. The simple colour palette black, white and blue follows the ECL branding colours and is DDA compliant.
