FRA are excited to have been nominated for Design Week’s Wayfinding & Environmental Graphic category for our work at Westgate Oxford. The category focuses on static and digital signage and other environmental graphics for towns and cities, public buildings, commercial and cultural properties and is a prestigious industry award. We are thrilled to be recognised.
Westgate encapsulates all the ambitions and challenges of a modern urban redevelopment. FRA created a design language that combines traditional urban street furniture and design-forward retail trends, with civic features such as the site’s public library. Our solutions helped transform a complicated series of horizontal and vertical connections between the site’s various nodes, car park and public transport links into a legible and enjoyable experience that make sense in the context of the city.
The award winners will be announced at a ceremony held at the Tower of London on 26 June.
