55 Colmore Row is one of Birmingham’s most widely recognised business addresses. The Grade II listed building underwent a major renovation programme and now offers prime grade A office space.

f.r.a. designed a distinctive signage scheme that drew references from the building’s heritage as a banking hall and piano showroom. Motifs inspired by a ‘Guilloche Watermark’ helped to root the programme and tell the story of this iconic building.

Our solution respects the period features whilst complimenting the new contemporary workplace and helps to reposition the building as one of the key desirable addresses in Birmingham.

We managed the implementation, ensuring cost control and quality of execution matched the standard of the development. The building was quickly let to a diverse range of global and regional blue chip tenants.
