Author King’s Cross is the first Build-to-Rent (BtR) development at the 67-acre King’s Cross Estate, our brief was to develop wayfinding designs to align with and enhance the brand identity. The scheme comprises of three buildings featuring 182 homes and amenities spaces.
The design for the project draws inspiration from the location, brand and interior design. Our concept of “elasticity” – Connectivity and rhythm expressed through vertical lines and extruded elements pays homage to the connectivity and rich interior design.
We selected materials that incorporate texture, embodying nature, tying in with the “urbanised nature” of the interior design. Using vertical text on the signs, resonates with the idea of global connectivity and also mirrors the architectural aesthetics and branding.
