As the first of several lab buildings to be refurbished at Longfellow’s 42 acre Camlife site, Cam3 sets a new standard in innovation-focused lab space among Cambridge’s booming life-sciences sector. As Longfellow’s first development in the UK, our team was delighted to partner with them to deliver something truly unique for this world-class development.

In addition to providing wayfinding across the whole campus, we delivered wayfinding for the interior of Cam3. The design of the laboratory building maintains the campus’s connection to nature through a minimalist pallet that focuses on deep concentration and collaboration.

Our design for wayfinding reflected this with sensitive material choices and a ‘light touch’ footprint within the building. Although minimal, the design still spoke with the brand’s sense of wellbeing and thought-provoking playfulness.
