Candleriggs is a new Build-to-Rent (BtR) development situated in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City. After lying derelict for over a decade, the site has been revived into the beating heart of the city centre. The scheme features high-quality city living, with 346 apartments and a range of ground floor retail and commercial units.
Collaborating with the client’s brand and interior design team, we developed and delivered a wayfinding scheme to accentuate the project’s vibrate and playful character. To express a modern take on the site’s heritage in candle making, the wayfinding signs use a bespoke orange/metallic acrylic we developed that seems to radiate a warm light. Feature signs use three dimensional prismatic letters to catch reflections and change with the environment. This complex and highly crafted scheme was delivered on time in Glasgow through multiple phases of installation and quality checks.
