Client: Coventry University Location: Birmingham, UK Design Team: Broadway Malyan Size: 120,000 sq ft Status: Completed
Continuing our relationship with Coventry University and architects Broadway Malyan, f.r.a. designed a visual identity and wayfinding for the new Science and Health Building. The scheme expands the visual language created for Richard Crossman Building whilst providing its own sense of place for SHB.
The internal circulation was designed to enhance connectivity of spaces and activities and the wayfinding strategy supports this ethos. The design of the system is driven by the needs of the faculty, the users and business partners. The use of large format environmental graphics and the visual language links the two building within the faculty.
The faculty are now collecting their own image library ready for continued refresh of the images that showcase the outstanding facilities and learning practices, the supergraphics can be easily updated and adapt to new stories. We work with them to craft these providing artwork ready for digital printing and installation.
