Crown Street

Client:  Renaker
Location:  Manchester, UK
Design Team:  Simpson Haugh.
Size:  664 units
Status: Completed

We were commissioned by Renaker to design the wayfinding on Crown Street forming part of the wider new Great Jackson Street development following our appointment on Deansgate Square for Legal and General.

Designs included all wayfinding elements for the scheme.  The Illuminated totems reference the brand highlighting the main entrances with the Townhouses having feature Corten steel identifiers.

The inspiration behind the design is based on “crowning” which is carried throughout the wayfinding programme to create a consistent look and feel.  The use of bronze helps promote the name “Crown Street” with its monarchical references that radiates luxury and exclusivity.

Crown Street comprises of two towers, the first to complete is Victoria Residence, an iconic building standing at 21 storeys combining luxurious apartments, town houses and communal amenities including concierge, residents lounge, workspace, private dining and roof garden.
