Slate Yard, one of the first build to rent schemes we worked on for Legal & General, a new development of three residential blocks totalling 199 apartments over 21 floors and featuring communal lounge, residents gym and private dining.

The aim was to establish Legal & General’s build to rent offer, as a leading operator providing the best quality, service and establish a sense of community to the developments.

We worked closely with brand agency, Identity, to craft a bespoke wayfinding program for the scheme. Identity were responsible for the concept, we were tasked with developing the design into a fully specified wayfinding program, developing the strategy, tender administration through to full project management of the manufacture and installation to ensure the design intent was met fully.

The wayfinding scheme includes full family of signage, including external building identifiers, internal directories, floor indicators and picograms.  The scheme enhances the overall residential experience and now occupied has received positive feedback on the design and effectiveness, with residents appreciating the ease to navigate around the scheme.
