The Wilson is the flagship gallery & museum for The Cheltenham Trust. We worked with the Trust, to build awareness, improve perceptions, and increase visitor numbers by building continuous user engagement.

f.r.a. introduced a strategy to use the website as a digital tool that supports static wayfinding, help journey planning and empower visitors to publish their own itineraries or follow curated tours. Wayfinding and graphics used a dynamic series of glyphs to enhance curb appeal and create visual links. We improved the legibility of spaces by decluttering and reassessing naming. Visitors can use digital technology to tag items of the collection, post comments and join in the conversation.

We maximized the budget by augmenting the Trust’s archives with bold graphics and focusing on high-impact low-cost materials for the static wayfinding. By pairing digital technologies with static wayfinding we enhanced the overall experience and created continuous user engagement.
